Goa, a state on India's west coast is a former Portuguese colony with a rich history. It has a unique mixture of Indian and Portuguese cultures and architecture that attracts 2.5 million visitors each year.

Sea food
The cuisine is mostly based seafood-based; the staple foods are rice and fish. Kingfish is the most common delicacy. Other delicious seafood includes Pomfret, Shark, Tuna and Mackerel. Among shellfish are Crabs, Prawns, Tiger prawns, Lobsters, Squid and mussels.
Humann
It is a combo dish of Rice and Fish curry. Also known as kadi or ambot.
Uddamethi
A type of curry consisting of fenugreek and mackerel; a vegetarian version of this dish is also prepared using hog plums (or anything sour and tangy, such as spices of raw mango).
Tondak
A dish made with beans, cashew, etc.
